Per the book "Life" by Keith Richards:
In 1963 the Stones manager locked Mick and Keith in a kitchen
and told them to "Come out with a song".
They did but they didn't want the Stones to record it.
So they gave it to Marianne Faithful and it was a hit.
A year later the Stones recorded it.
