WINRUNLOG VERSION 3.1

WinRunLog is a Logbook for Runners.

Use WinRunLog to log information about your running activities.

WinRunLog allows you to record and maintain dates, distances, times and notes regarding your running activities. WinRunLog can also be used to calculate pace, time or distance. It can also generate and display weekly, monthly, yearly and from/thru distance statistics.

WinRunLog is a Win9x program.

Minimum system requirements are:

  • 486 processor or higher
  • Win9x or higher
  • 1 MB free disk space

WinRunLog is Freeware and can be distributed freely provided all files are distributed together.

CHANGES FROM VERSION 3.0:

  1. In version 3.0 all date data was stored with 2 digits for the year (although all calculations used 4 digits). Therefore, sorting the main window data by date put all year 20xx stuff _before_ any 19xx stuff. This is because the sort algorithm uses a straight forward sort and WinRunLog assumes years ending in 00 thru 79 are in the 20xx century and years ending in 80 thru 99 are in the 19xx century.
  2. This has been corrected.

NOTE: Version 3.1 will read log files created with older versions of WinRunLog and display the dates with 4 digits for the year. If you choose to save the log file, then the years will be stored with 4 digits. The log file will then be unreadable with an older version of WinRunLog.

  3. If you did not have a 'date' associated with a log entry (you do this by deleting the date in the Calculator window) then version 3.0 crashed and burned if you tried to view Monthly or Yearly Statistics.
  4. This has been corrected.

  5. In version 3.0 log info dated during the first week of 1980 showed some bizzarre info in the Weekly Statistics dialog box (negative dates, etc.).
  6. This has been corrected.

INSTALLATION:

  1. Make backup copies of any log files you have created.
  2. Uninstall any previous versions of WinRunLog before installing this version.
  3. Run setup.exe from the Win9x Add/Remove Programs dialog box.
  4. Copy your log files into the WinRunLog 3.1 folder (the default folder is C:\WinRunLog 3.1).

SPECIAL NOTE FOR WIN95 USERS:

The default extension for a WinRunLog log file is .wrlog. Unfortunately, Win95 only saves the first 3 characters of an extension when creating a new file. Therefore, even if you select .wrlog for the file extension when saving a brand new log file, Win95 will save it with a .wrl extension. The work-around for this is to simply rename the log file after it is created. Find the log file in Explorer and rename it with the .wrlog extension.

All subsequent saves of the log will retain the .wrlog extension.
